I met Inge a few years ago in Hermanus through Mutual friends, and through that got her sister’s booking and a few months later here she and her mom was wanting to meet me….. I thought nice coffee date….. BUT Inge was now also engaged and so started our journey to plan her wedding.
Inge is such an beautiful person inside and out.Typically Thys like all other guys just approved all our decisions and gave Inge his upmost support all the time.On the day of the wedding they were both so calm and inlove! it was so amazing to see 2 poeple so in LOVE!
This a such an different kind of wedding as we worked with mostly greens, and the whole theme was fresh and earthy, we used alot of woods, candles and glass to create a very cozy and warm atmosphere.. WHAT A WEDDING!!

I was so excited to get my DVD after my wedding!!! So here I am sharing the short/ compressed version of it!
Most couples that book me think booking a Videographer is a waste is money and because they have a photographer is there is someone to capture their wedding day! Let me tell you from personal experience! You dont remember half of your day, as it goes in a wink of an eye! It feels like a distant memory!! The DVD of your wedding so important, it captures the ceremony, the pre-drinks and the speeches!! I really got tears in my eyes when I watched my speeches again, and as my dad walked me down the aisle he was crying his eyes out!*( his little girl is all grown up….)
I got goosebumps when I watched my DVD…. so all future brides:
If there is a TIP I CAN GIVE YOU: Book a good Photographer and a Videographer, it is all that you are going to have left after your wedding… well that and a man you can call your husband!!:)

What is stylish wedding this was!! Paola is one of the most kindhearted person I have ever met, and Matt is one of nicest guys ( he had the most amazing speech when he talked about his new wife!!). I had so much fun to plan their wedding,an Italian feast!!

I met this Beautiful girl when I still had my shop. Later she contacted me again to see what a wedding planner does exactly… (and she had a beautiful ring on)… so just there and then they booked me and we started planning. What a JOY this couple was!! Helmare is one is the sweetest people I know and Len is that typical Guy, that only had like 2 meetings with me, and just YES to everything that Hella said( Gotta Love that about the guys, they love you so much that whatever you decide they are also happy with) He was there for Hella through everything and on their wedding you could just feel the Love they had for each other!!
What a stunning wedding with it pure white’ s and textures and just s simple touch of grey! We had alot of little details at the wedding and everything was just perfect . I even helped to design the ” pas getroud” confetti stickers ,dessert tables lables & Dessert bag lables. Its something fun to go back to my Graphic design routes..

Some couples you meet and you just click with and they feel like you were friends since the beginning of time! For me that was Corrie & Danelo. We had fun from beginning to end planning their wedding, Even finding the perfect venue started with a “wine tour” as we drove from venue to venue we made it fun! We eventually found Molenvliet and they LOVED it! I must say this was my first wedding at Molenvliet just the ambience, look and feel of that venue you dont find often at other venues.
Most of Corrie & Danelo’s guests were from the Pretoria and let me tell you… Guests had the full blown winelands experience with wine, amazing views & live festive music.

I’ve done a few weddings thus far in my life and have seen a lot of happy couples.This couple was the most inlove couple I have seen in a long time!!! Bruce was mostly the ” wedding planner” as he wanted everything for his future wife to be just perfect!! He also couldnt stop crying during the ceremony when he saw Maria walking down the aisle- which meant there wasnt a dry eye in the house! Even we as service providers cried!!!
They came all the way from Bermuda via the UK to get married in SA with 39 other guests also mostly from overseas. We all have our soft spots… and mine is Animals, ever since I can remember I LOVED all animals as they are always full of love and just always there for you!!! They cant speak or defend themselves and that is why they need us to speak up for their part.
I did a few weddings where I would ask my couple if its ok if I can “sponsor” the left over meat or bones to the SPCA. They normally also love the idea. So I thought a great idea is to do a post on this, so other Brides can get involved. This doesnt cost anything extra and I promise you will feel wonderful to know you gave something back after your Special day!! If you for example have lamb shanks for a main, try and orgazine with your chef if you dont have a wedding planner to take all the extra bones to a shelter or SPCA in your location- Every little bit helps and I promise otherwise they will just be thrown away- This way you can help and give back!!
So I challenge all Brides planning their wedding… give that little something back… IT”S SO WORTH IT!!! (If your love is not for animals, try and take the extra food to a night shelter, we all can do our part to make this world a better place
)
